The "mocks"

It's that time of year again where many of you have just completed the "mocks" or "pre's".  For many of you you may not have done as well as expected or hoped.  Dont be disheartened!  You should see this as a learning tool and an opportunity to check your progress.
So what is the best way to move forward from these pre exams? I suggest that you ask yourself the following questions:

- What areas of subjects did you fall down on?
  • Identify these areas for each subject and engage in discussion with your teachers about what mistakes you made.  Take their advice on how you can make improvements.
  • For sample answers to past exam questions see Examinations.ie.
- Are you making the most of your knowledge of each exam? Consult these Exam Guides for guidance on maximising your marks in each exam paper.

Now is a good time to take stock of your performance and adjust your approach where necessary.

Remember that the practice you get in your mocks and the lessons you learn can make a big difference to your performance in June.

Also remember that there is more to life than exams!  Don't get too stressed out about study etc.  Work hard and you will reap the rewards but most importantly be happy and healthy!

GOOD LUCK!
